With the warmer weather and considerably longer days; those fasting this Ramadan will need to take special precautions to remain healthy. Eating wisely, choosing healthy options and planning meals carefully will all impact the fasting process and keep your energy levels up all day long.

Dubai-based food photographer and blogger Nisreen Shawwa of ‘Monsters Call Me Mama‘ shares her insights into the etiquette of breaking fast. The fast is broken at sunset (iftar), and is usually broken with dates and in many cultures a light soup with bread or small side dishes.
